It is likely to be the most important bakkie-based SUV launch of the 2015, the new Ford Everest.
Following the unveiling of the Ford Everest Concept in 2013, we did an article of a test mule being caught on camera earlier this year.
Now reports suggest that the production model will be launched on 14 November. Judging by these spy pictures, it seems the production model mimics the original concept model quite closely.
Although based on the ford Ranger bakkie, the Everest will be updated in a number of ways. This will include changes to the suspension as well as updates to the interior. The interior could receive an 8-inch infotainment screen connected to Ford’s SYNC 2 system.
The engine range will come straight from the Ranger range. Expect the 2,2-litre and 3,2-litre turbodiesel derivatives to be carried over. We would also expect to see both 4×4, 4×2 versions and the option of automatic and manual transmissions.
Check back soon for more information on the Everest once released.
