A few months ago, Bentley confirmed that it would be building an SUV, but the aggressive new-model strategy from the Crewe, UK-based based manufacturer apparently also includes a new four-door coupe.
According to British publication Car, there’s been some word that Bentley might have a four-door car with the roofline of a coupe in the pipeline. The new model would compete with the like of the Mercedes-Benz CLS and BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe and slot in just below the Continental GT in the Bentley model line-up.
As a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, Bentley will have access to plenty of platform and powertrain options. Speculation has it that the new Bentley could share the underpinnings of the new Audi A8 or next-generation Porsche Panamera.
The new car has yet to be confirmed, but Car is pretty sure that it’ll be here by 2018.
