The first pictures have started to surface of Mercedes-Benz’s latest cabriolet. The New C-Class Cabriolet is set to be unveiled before the end of the year, along with its fixed-roof Coupé sibling. Finally Mercedes-Benz will be able to offer buyers a true alternative to BMW’s 4 Series Cabriolet.
According to rumours, the Mercedes-Benz will be offered with a canvas top, not a hard-top like that of the BMW. Overseas the engine line-up is set to mimic that of the sedan range, although Mercedes-Benz is likely to not offer the entry-level engines from the sedan range in the Cabriolet range. However, in South Africa the chances are good that buyers will only have access to the stronger engine derivatives.
We strongly expect the new two-door variants of the W205 C-Class to be unveiled at this year’s Paris Motor Show, taking place in September.
