Volkswagen South Africa has just announced that the CC and Passat customers can now specify R-line packages for their vehicles. Designed and developed by Volkswagen R GmbH, the packages are meant to enhance the design of Volkswagen’s premium models.
On the Passat, the R-line package adds new front and rear bumpers for a sportier stance, with emphasis being placed on the larger air dam and fog lamps. There’s also a compulsory R logo in the radiator grille. At the rear, the sporty theme is continued with a diffuser-look bumper insert and integrated boot spoiler. Colour-coded side sills complement the 17-inch “Mallory” alloy wheels.
On the Volkswagen’s range-topping CC saloon, the effect from the R-line kit is further pronounced with even large alloys (18-inch) and new vertical chrome bars in the radiator grille. Inside, the CC benefits from R-line logos on the multifunction leather steering wheel and on the door scuff plates.
The optional R-Line styling package is available in the Passat model range for R10 200 and on the CC 2,0 TDI for R12 250, while the cost to kit the 2,0 TSI and 3,6 FSI V6 is R10 200.
