As the spectacular Goodwood Festival of Speed draws closer, more and more manufacturers are sharing details about upcoming reveals.
Land Rover has confirmed that it will show its Range Rover Sport SVR “prototype”. It is indeed exciting news as it will be the most powerful production Land Rover to date. Recently Jaguar Land Rover released details of its new Special Vehicle Operations unit, and this car will be the first to wear this SVR badge.
Developing 405 kW, the Range Rover Sport SVR will offer a 30 kW increase over the standard Range Rover Sport. Also expect the torque figure to increase compared to the standard Sport’s 625 N.m.
This means the SVR will be a perfect competitor for Porsche’s Cayenne Turbo S (405 kW/750 N.m), Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG with the performance pack (410 kW/760 N.m) as well as BMW’s X6 M (408 kW/680 N.m).
Show goers will be able to watch the SVR prototype being driven up the hill on this coming Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
