Following the success of Toyota’s Etios hatchback and the Etios Cross, Toyota South Africa Motors is releasing 200 examples of the Etios Sport.
The changes compared to the standard Etios include an aero kit made up of a front spoiler, side skirts, a new rear bumper and a roof spoiler. There are also 15-inch alloy wheels.
According to Toyota the Sport will be available in four colours, Sparkling Silver metallic, Midnight black, Retro red metallic and Super blue metallic.
The audio system is upgraded to a similar unit as found in the Etios Cross. This system features USB, aux-in capability and Bluetooth.
Powering the Etios Sport is the same 1,5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine delivering 66 kW at 5 600 r/min and 132 N.m at 3 000 r/min.
Other luxury and safety features include a 13-litre refrigerated glove compartment, dual front airbags and an ABS with EBD braking system.
The Toyota Etios Sport is priced at R153 500 and comes with a 2-year/30 000 km service plan.
