We’re already familiar with the FT-1 Concept, which Toyota unveiled at the North American International Auto Show January this year, but the Japanese firm has just revealed two new versions. One of which will be on display at Pebble Beach, while the other’s set to make its mark online.
The FT-1 that will feature at this weekend’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance boasts a graphite exterior finish and is what Toyota claims is an “upscale interpretation” of the older concept, complete with a new cabin. Apparently, the new concept also previews what the next Supra could offer in terms of luxury and refinement.
The other concept that Toyota’s revealed will only have an online presence, in Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo 6. As part of the franchise’s 15th birthday celebrations, Toyota’s FT-1 Vision GT will be available for download on GT6 sometime in September.
Apparently, the development of the FT-1 Vision GT helped company executives get a better feel for the FT-1 before a prototype for the next Supra is built.
