A few weeks ago we brought you first images of Toyota’s upcoming Auris, taken from a Japanese-market brochure. Now British magazine Autocar has found images of the undisguised Auris… and it shows a rather attractive car to say the least.
Due to be unveiled at the upcoming Paris Motor Show, the Auris will possibly reach South Africa before the end of this year. There are as of yet no confirmed drivetrain details, but the Japanese brochure mentioned a pair of petrol engines (1,5- and 1,8-litre four-cylinder) and two diesels (1,6- and 2,0-litre), as well as a choice of manual and CVT transmissions. UK cars could also be offered with a frugal 1,3-litre petrol unit, as well as a hybrid (white car pictured here).
New Auris also gets a dramatic new interior with some Lexus design detailing, such as sliver-highlighted trim on the facia and door panels. The audio system has also been upgraded to include iPod connectivity. For images click here.
