The judging criteria also depended on retail sales versus target, parts and accessories sales versus target and profitability as measured by return on sales. Contenders were also judged on their adherence to Nissan franchise standards and Nissan’s standards of doing business.
“The Nissan Dealer of the Year awards are all about recognising the achievements of our top-performing dealers, but they are also about acknowledging the importance of our dealers throughout Southern Africa,” said Nissan SA managing director Toshio Aoki.
“As we did with the Nissan revival plan, Nissan globally is on track to meet its current trading objectives within the prescribed period of the programme. We have already achieved an eight per cent operating profit target, as well as zero balance sheet debt.”
