Nissan SA has received three awards for safety, health and environmental management from the National Occupational Safety Association.
Nissan SA has received three awards for safety, health and environmental (SHE) management from the National Occupational Safety Association (Nosa).
At a recent awards banquet hosted by Nosa (northern region) Nissan was named Best Company on the association’s integrated five-star system in the A category (for large organisations).
The Rosslyn-based company earlier this year received a five-star rating from NOSA for the 23rd year in a row for excellence in safety, health and environmental management.
The second award was made to Wietske Whyte, the manager of Nissan’s integrated systems management (ISM) department, who was named the SHE Personality of the Year.
The third award went to Jacques Human, also of Nissan’s ISM department, for achieving excellence in the occupational hygienist category.
In reaction, Nissan SA’s executive vice president, Mike Whitfield, said “the awards further substantiate Nissan’s position as the leader in the automotive industry in the field of SHE management”.
