As the final Bugatti Veyrons are rolling of the assembly line, the manufacturer has teamed up with the Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur in Berlin, Germany, to produce this unique and one-of-a-kind Bugatti "L'Or Blanc".
For the first time porcelain elements have been used for the exterior and interior finish of the car. Since this special design was done on a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport, rather than the fixed-roof coupé, the effort made with the interior is especially visible.
Dr. Stefan Brungs, Director of Sales and Marketing at Bugatti Automobiles had the following to say: "At first, it seems to be an unusual idea to use porcelain in a car, especially in the world's fastest convertible, but this is what Bugatti stands for: the realization of exceptional ideas whilst striving for the utmost in quality and aesthetics. This allows us to continue Ettore Bugatti's heritage, who himself loved to experiment with new materials."
In case you were wondering, the French name stands for “white gold” and this specific Veyron will empty its new owner’s pocket by Euro 1,65 m!
More importantly, Bugatti confirmed that its designers were really inspired during this project and this could spearhead new design opportunities in the future.
