Land Rover is adding a limited edition model with new alloy wheels, exterior colours and model-specific trimmings to its Range Rover Sport line-up; the Range Rover Sport Red Edition.
Based on the present Range Rover Sport 5,0-litre Supercharged, the Red features:
• Firenze Red, Orkney Grey, Fuji White and Santorini Black exterior colours;
• black mesh grille with satin chrome bezel;
• red ‘Sport’ decals, red calipers for the Brembo brakes;
• model-specific 20-inch alloy wheels and a red accent bar and black mesh for the front wing ‘gills’.
Among the interior features are; a choice of four seat trims, carbon-fibre veneer and HSE Ebony trim with a choice of four stitching colours and “Sport” decals embossed on the headrest and sewn into the floor mats.
The bits under the bonnet and the chassis remain untouched, so power is still provided by a supercharged 5,0-litre V8 developing 375 kW and 625 N.m of torque coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission. You also get an air suspension set-up and the company’s e_Terrain system to lend a hand when tackling the rough stuff.
The Range Rover Sport Red Edition will retail for R 1 103,400 including VAT and will be available from Land Rover dealers imminently.
