So you thought that was the last of the bizarre-looking SsangYong Actyon? Recently removed from South African pricelists, the Korean automaker is however working on an all-new version seemingly inspired by the US-market Honda Ridgeline double-cab pick-up.
The SsangYong Actyon SUT 1 is a “concept” is only in name and will actually go on sale overseas early next year. It will be available in two- or four-wheel drive and with engines mated with manual or automatic transmissions. Its 2,0-litre diesel engine will reportedly produce 114 kW and 359 N.m of torque, up from 104 kW and 310 N.m respectively.
SsangYong hopes to sell the SUT on its styling… “While maintaining the essential characteristics of a traditional pick-up, this concept presents a more contemporary look to reflect the styling expected of today’s Sports Utility Truck,” the company said.
