More images have surfaced of the next-generation C63, Mercedes-Benz’s answer to BMW’s M4/M3, near the Nürburgring Nordschleife – no doubt for high-performance testing on the hallowed circuit.
The Stuttgart-based manufacturer has pretty much kept the lid on the new C63’s design, with mules and prototypes only being spotted with heavy camouflage cladding. But recent pictures do allow for a good view of the front bumper and grille, which suggest that the C63 could boast even larger air vents up front, with hints of vents in the rear bumper too. Obviously, the rear end is still dominated by quad tailpipes.
Not much more is known about the C63’s powerplant, with most reports claiming that a twin-turbocharged 4,0-litre V8 will power the range-topping C-Class. Rumour has it that a power figure of close to 370 kW is on the cards.
With the new C-Class making its international debut early in 2014, the C63 AMG will probably follow by a few months.
