Along with news that its new multi-billion rand paintshop is easing production constraints at Prospecton, Toyota SA has also announced marginal changes to its best-selling Hilux and Fortuner ranges.
Along with news that its new multi-billion rand paintshop is easing production constraints at Prospecton, Toyota SA has also announced marginal changes to its best-selling Hilux and Fortuner ranges.
Although the Fortuner was only launched in the first quarter of this year, Toyota has already decided to effect a few “running changes” to the model “in response to customer feedback”.
“Privacy glass” has been added for the rear side windows, a leather gearshift knob included to match the leather covered steering wheel, and thicker sun visors have been added. The right fender has extended inner linings.
The Hilux bakkie range, with which the Fortuner shares its platform, has also been given the once over. All SRX 4X4 models add a steel bumper at the rear. Raider models now have inner liner extensions for the right fender, improved sun visors and a cupholder for the front passenger, too.
