When DaimlerChrysler SA held its annual “Dealer of the Year” ceremony last weekend, one dealership in the sleepy seaside town of the Strand managed to palm almost all the awards on offer.
When DaimlerChrysler SA held its annual “Dealer of the Year” ceremony last weekend, one dealership in the sleepy seaside town of the Strand managed to palm almost all the awards on offer.
Along with the prestigious “Chairman’s Award”, Rola Motors also secured the honours in the Mercedes Benz Passenger Cars, Mercedes Benz Commercial Vehicles and Mitsubishi Motors categories.
“Rola Motors has for many years been one of our top performing dealerships, and this year really shone to beat a number of top contenders in a particularly tough competition,” company chairman Christoph Köpke said.
According to Theo Swanepoel, DCSA’s dealer development manager, the competition is organised so that dealers compete to be the best in the various DaimlerChrysler brands. Inyanga Motors of Empangeni won the remaining category for Chrysler/Jeep.
“While reaching their sales targets and operating on a profitable basis are important elements of the competition, the main goal of is increasing customer service and customer satisfaction. Results in this year’s competition show a definite improvement in customer satisfaction levels,” Swanepoel said.
