Super Group Dealerships and Motoronline have introduced an information tool for the vehicle group to communicate with its dealerships.
“Autoport.co.za” allows access to third-party sites and is a link to banks and financial institutions, vehicle suppliers and industry organisations. There is a daily vehicle stock ageing report that allows Super Group to view a graphic of its new and used vehicle stock, profiled by age and price. Internal staff vacancies are advertised through Autoport to the group’s 670 employees.
“We have invested significant time and effort in building Autoport, and after five months the rewards are already paying off. Super Group’s main focus now is to encourage maximum utilisation of the site among its staff and customers,” said Derik Scorer, MD of Super Group Dealerships Division.
All the Super Group dealerships have ensured that their staff have been trained on the system and ready for e-commerce transactions.
The next step will be Motoronline’s new “parts locator” which will be introduced later this year. This search engine will allow Super Group to broadcast its parts stock to a wide audience, and will help move older parts items that might be needed elsewhere in South Africa.
