Suzuki Auto has been on an indomitable stride of growth in South Africa and just under 5 000 sales in the month of June is proof of their increasing popularity with the Swift becoming the top-selling passenger car during the month too.
According to naamsa statistics, the Suzuki Swift has taken the top spot for best-selling passenger car over the month of June, recording 1 926 units during this time. The brand almost recorded 5 000 sales which trounces their previous internal record of 3 100 units by a large margin. Over the course of last month, Suzuki Auto managed to sell a total of 4 622 vehicles, providing healthy competition to Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM), which includes Lexus and Hino as well as the entirety of the Volkswagen Group who also list Audi sales within their numbers.
Henno Havenga, Manager of Dealer Sales at Suzuki Auto had this to say about their growing popularity in our market: “Over the past couple of years, we kept saying that Suzuki is investing heavily in its network, through a larger parts warehouse and in our customer-service levels. All this investment by Suzuki Auto and our dealer network has laid the foundation for the success that we are now experiencing, and it will ensure that we keep delivering the high levels of customer service that people have come to expect of Suzuki.”
In addition to this, Suzuki Auto celebrated their Dealer of the Year Awards which saw 21 dealers receive the Platinum Award for exemplary performance across all sales, service and after-sales support categories. In addition, another 6 dealers were awarded the Elite Awards category, which is reserved for the best dealers overall.
