Father and son Paul and Chris Andrews put together one of the USA’s great car collections… and now they’ve now decided to sell most of it. Of the 100+ vehicles in the famed Andrews collection, 75 will be auctioned by RM Auctions in the USA.
They amassed a wonderfully diverse collection of automobiles and these include a diverse range from vintage Duesenbergs to highly sought-after Ferraris to one-off racing prototypes. It even includes the odd pick-up.
The Andrews are real enthusiasts and discerning collectors who have now decided to pare their collection down ro dedicate more time to their favourite cars.
“We want to get down to a smaller number of cars – perhaps 15 to 20 – that we very much enjoy driving and that we can use on events with the family,” Chris Andrews told RM Auctions in Fort Worth, Texas.
The star of the auction is likely to be the 1963 Shelby Cobra 289 Competition. It boasts exceptional provevnance, being one of only three factory Competition examples in existence, and was the first racing Cobra sold to the public.
