To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Land Cruiser nameplate, Toyota has announced it will launch the striking FJ Cruiser, which it showed at the Nampo Harvest Day in the Free State, in our market in August.
Its styling is overtly retro, harking back to earlier Cruiser models. However, according to Toyota, it isn’t just a fashion buy but a serious off-roader and features the manufacturer’s familiar 4,0-litre V6 petrol engine and a “rugged” 4×4 system (which is either full-time all-wheel drive with the six-speed manual transmission option or part-time AWD if the five-speed auto is selected). Prices and specifications will be announced closer to the time.
Other vehicles on show at Nampo include the recently introduced 60th anniversary editions of the 76 Station Wagon and 79 Pick-up.
