AC Schnitzer is currently developing special accessories for the E63. In the first stage, the company developed the alloy and racing wheels for the range (Type III and the new Type IV design are already available).

Besides the 21-inch Type IV racing wheels, the AC Schnitzer 6 Series can also be specified with the combination of 9.0J x 20" on the front (with 245/35 R 20 tyres) and on the rear axle 10.0J x 20" with 285/30 R 20 tyres.

The Type IV design wheels pictured here have a 5-spoke star pattern from the pentagonal wheel centre and dishing for each spoke.

In an attempt to improve the 6 Series’ driving dynamics, Schnitzer has developed a sports suspension. In addition to lowering the ride height by about 25 mm, Schnitzer stiffened the 6 Series’ springs.

The elaborate Schnitzer aerodynamic conversion consists of a front spoiler, side skirt inserts, rear spoiler and a rear skirt that would look at home on Darth Vader’s personal TIE fighter. The aerodynamic range is completed by a chromeline set (chrome highlights can also be specified).

Note the rear skirt with the integrated double sports rear silencer with its two chromed tailpipes in trap-ment (combination of trapezium and segment) form. This exhaust system, Schnitzer claims, also optimises gas flow and gives the 245-kW 4,4 litre BMW V8 a particularly sonorous "voice".

The interior gets carbon fibre trim in the new "Exclusive Design" and an ergonomically designed airbag sports steering wheel. Aluminium accessories, for the controller of the BMW-specific "i-Drive System" etc, provide the finishing touches.
