Lazy driver’s rejoice, Volkswagen’s Polo Vivo is now available with an automatic transmission option.
The budget baby of the VW family can now be optioned with a six-speed Tiptronic transmission. The self-shifter will be offered solely with the1,4 litre engine but buyers can opt for a sedan or hatchback variant. The 63 kW engine develops maximum torque of 132 N.m produced at 5000 r/min and has a top speed of 172 km/h. The combined cycle fuel consumption is a quoted 6,6 litres/100 km.
At the same time, Volkswagen SA is introducing a frugal derivative into the Polo Vivo range. Polo Vivo BlueLine complements the Volkswagen BlueMotion Technology Brand which was first introduced locally in the new Touareg in 2010.
The 1,4 55 kW Polo Vivo BlueLine has claimed combined fuel consumption of 5,4 litres per 100 kilometres and its CO2 emissions value is 128g/km.
Polo Vivo BlueLine will be differentiated by a tailgate spoiler, lowered suspension, 15-inch Charade Alloy wheels with low resistance tyres and exclusive Active cloth seat trim.
Polo Vivo BlueLine will only be available in the hatch version.
