Delta Motor Corporation may soon take charge of the distribution and marketing of Daewoo in South Africa.
Rumours indicate that Delta Motor Corporation may soon take charge of the distribution and marketing of Daewoo in South Africa.
General Motors, which bought Daewoo’s assets last year, also has a stake in Delta.
Daewoo’s general manager of sales and marketing, Adri Roe, told that GM Daewoo Auto and Technology was negotiating with a local company to take over the local distribution and marketing of its new vehicle product. Roe did not indicate which company it was. GM Daewoo Auto and Technology was established after GM bought Daewoo’s assets.
However, speculated that it was likely to be the other GM-connected firm, Delta. Roe told the newspaper that talks could yield a result within this year.
Denise van Huyssteen, the corporate communications manager at Delta Motor Corporation, told the newspaper that Delta had “established contact with GMDAT with a view to exploring any options which could possibly be leveraged”.
