Since its launch in 2017, the Peugeot 3008 has received no less than seventy-six awards globally. It is one of the segment leaders in markets throughout Europe, accounting for 65 per cent of the vehicle’s global sales, and was awarded the 2017 European Car of the Year award.
Blending excellent perceived quality, tactile interior materials and technology such as the latest driving aids and high-definition displays in the cockpit, the Peugeot 3008 is able to punch well above its weight. As such, 38 per cent of sales are in higher segments, illustrating the upmarket positioning of the Peugeot brand and their products.
Such accolades and impressive sales figures come as no surprise when one considers the 3008’s striking looks, punchy motors and remarkable interior quality. And so, 5 years on and shortly after we have been graced with the updated model here in South Africa, Peugeot has announced that the 1 000 000th 3008 has just rolled off the production line at the Sochaux factory in Eastern France.
A 3008 Hybrid, employees at the factory gathered around the millionth vehicle to celebrate this astonishing milestone.
