The Porsche Cayman will soon be in South Africa, but if you don’t find its predatory profile to your taste, the latest TechArt Automobildesign body kit can make the coupé look even snappier.

For Porsche enthusiasts, the mid-engined, Boxster-based, Cayman S appears to have it all… The subject of a driving impression in the November issue of CAR, the Cayman S is a lithe and rapid precision driving tool with the classic silhouette of the 356 and 911 and a level practicality that is a hallmark of Porsche.
But the German-based TechArt treatment takes the Cayman S to a different level… in terms of racy looks, at least. A bespoke front spoiler, which is mounted to the production bumper, lends the front of the two-seater a more dynamic appearance and is claimed to reduce lift on the Cayman’s front axle at high speeds.
The TechArt side sills were shaped to calm the airstream between front- and rear wheel arches and to give the Cayman a lower, sleeker appearance. To optimize the lifting effect on the rear axle and to achieve a more exciting look, TechArt Automobildesign also offers a rear spoiler for the Cayman models.
For further exclusivity, there are a range of customer-tailored tyre/wheel combinations. The lightweight one-piece TechArt Formula wheels are available for the new Cayman in 17-, 18-, 19- or 20-inch diameters. The largest version features 8.5Jx20 wheels with ContiSportContact 2 tyres in size 235/30 ZR 20 in front and 11Jx20 wheels with 305/25 ZR 20 tyres on the rear axle.
TechArt lowers the Cayman’s ride-height by 25 to 30 mm and offers sport springs, which comply with the settings of the PASM suspension system available from the factory. A sport suspension with firmer ride is in the testing phase of development.
Inside, the leather interiors are available in custom colour combinations and a plethora of sporty accessories. TechArt offers ergonomically shaped airbag sport steering wheels with three or four spokes, and aluminium foot pedals, shift knob and foot rest. There are also stainless-steel sill plates with TechArt logos.
Customers who request a sportier engine sound will soon be able to order a TechArt stainless-steel sport exhaust and an engine tuning pack for the new Porsche Cayman is under development.
