The Audi TT range was given a facelift in July 2018. Now the Ingolstadt-based automaker has finally revealed more details about its all-wheel-drive TTS – offered in both coupé and cabriolet body styles – as well as revealed a new “competition” special model.

Both the soft- and hardtop models employ a 2,0 TFSI engine with outputs of 225 kW (down three units) and 400 N.m (up 20 N.m). The TTS coupé will thus hit 100 km/h from standstill in a claimed 4,5 seconds, while the TTS roadster will take three-tenths longer.

Top speed is electronically restricted to 250 km/h, while the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission boasts close ratios in the lower gears (Audi says the “wide ratio” of the highest gear reduces engine speed and thus improves fuel consumption).

Visual changes include a new horizontal blade in the bumper, along with a revised front splitter, vertical air inlets and aluminium-finished trim strips. The rear gains a similar treatment, with vertical air inlets placed below the taillamps. A wider diffuser with more prominent exhaust outlets adds aggression to the redesign.

If you desire a more visually appealing TTS, the “competition” model adds LED head- and taillamps, a fixed rear wing, red brake callipers and 20-inch high-gloss black alloy wheels. The cabin, meanwhile, gets an array of gloss black finishes while the exterior can be painted in glacier white, tango red or mythos black. The interior offers two leather upholstery options as well as Alcantara elements and carbon-fibre inlays.
