The star of BMW M’s show today: the prototype M Hybrid V8 and the M4 GT3 heading into the FIA WEC season, albeit on a slightly smaller scale than the real-life versions. Arriving as a Lego kit in the Speed Champions set, this becomes a diminutive ode to the season that lies ahead for the most powerful letter in the world.

With the BMW M Hybrid V8, the Bavarian automaker will make a long-awaited return to international prototype racing with its model passing its first season in the GTP category of the IMSA series. 2024 will see the potent model compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) exactly 25 years on from the BMW V12 LMR claiming overall victory at Le Mans.

Something a little more recognisable is the M4 GT3 which will challenge in the FIA WEC season and tackle the 24 Hours of Le Mans too with a pair of racers lining up in the LMGT3 class on the 15th and 16th of June 2024.
With this busy year ahead, the M division got together with Lego to create detailed replicas as part of the Speed Champions line. Both models are included in a single set, with 676 individual pieces required for assembly. The Speed Champions series Lego Kit latest additions feature the characteristic BMW M Motorsport paintwork, prominent diffuser elements, visually striking exhaust tailpipes and eye-catching spoilers, as well as an interior crafted with fine attention to detail. Plus, the roofs of the two miniatures can be taken off to allow the racing driver figures supplied as part of the set to be inserted into their respective cockpits.
The Speed Champions Bimmers are now available for purchase from the LEGO online store for $44.99, as well as from BMW’s Lifestyle online shop.
