Porsche South Africa has released pricing for the new Platinum Edition versions of Cayenne and Cayenne Coupé models, a last hurrah for the 9Y0 generation Cayenne before the facelifted model is launched.
In terms of design the Cayenne Platinum Edition features certain elements painted in Satin Platinum. These include the front intakes, the rear Porsche lettering within the LED taillight, the badges and the wheel. Speaking of the wheels, they are a set of spectacular looking 21-inch RS Spyder Design items and are exclusive to the Platinum Edition Cayenne. Rounding off the package are a set of black sport tailpipes and window trim finished in high-gloss black.
Paint options are limited to just a few; solid black or white, as well as a few metallic options such as Moonlight Blue, Mahogany, Carrera White and Jet Black. The intriguing special colour, Crayon, is available, too.
The Platinum Edition’s interior features distinctive Crayon seatbelts, and the door sills are finished in brushed aluminium with a ‘Platinum Edition’ logo backlit for added effect. The brushed aluminium finish is carried through to the rest of the interior and features on the dashboard and doors. Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur will also swish and flick their wands if you so wish, their magic ranging from “selective changes to extensive modifications” as stated in the press release.
Continuing the theme of generous appointment, the special edition models also feature Porsche crests on the front and rear headrests, LED headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System, a panoramic roof, privacy glass, a Bose surround-sound system, ambient lighting, eight-way adjustable leather sports seats and an analogue dashboard clock, all as standard.
Set to arrive during Q3 of 2022, local pricing of the Cayenne and Cayenne Coupé models with a 3 year Driveplan is as follows:
