If you feel that the Mercedes-Benz CLA just doesn’t look sporty enough, then you’ll be glad to hear than a new trim level is set to become available, courtesy of the designers at AMG.
This added trim applies only to the CLA 250 Sport and models fitted with the AMG Line package and was inspired by the success gained from a similar kit developed for the C- and A-Class models.
The upgrade lends the CLA more of a dynamic look and includes a new front splitter, side-sill attachments, rear facia moulding (with a non-functional diffuser), so-called “rear flics” and AMG sport stripes. Most of these added bits are painted in gloss black and fitted without any additional labour cost.
One key addition to this pack is the exclusive Affalterbach wheel centre caps, which provide a nod to the history of AMG. They are made using a silk-screen printing process and then embossed with the famous “apple tree by the creek”, cam lobe, valve and valve spring emblems. If you opt for these hub covers, they will be provided in a stylish deluxe presentation box.
International markets will have access to this new trim level within the next few days, although pricing has yet to be revealed. No word yet on when the option will become available locally.
