The historic Italian sportscar firm, Ferrari, will be launching its first all-electric supercar in 2025. Company boss John Elkann promises that the upcoming product will bring the uniqueness and passion of the brand to new generations.
As Autocar reports, Ferrari has been working on an EV but, before now, it has refused to confirm a launch date for its Eco-friendly performance car. During Ferrari’s annual general meeting, Elkann said the firm plans to reveal the model in 2025 and added. “You can be sure this will be everything you dream the engineers and designers at Maranello can imagine for such a landmark in our history,”
Elkann expanded on the brand’s wider electrification strategy which includes upcoming plug-in hybrid models and a return to the WEC with a new hypercar. “Our interpretation and application of these technologies both in motorsport and in road cars is a huge opportunity to bring the uniqueness and passion of Ferrari to new generations.”
Other than the year in which it’ll be revealed, Elkann didn’t provide any specific details about the upcoming EV.
