Ferrari is one of the most celebrated and venerated monikers to ever exist since the inception of the wheel. To add another notch to a highly decorated belt, Ferrari has reported exceptional sales in the 2022 financial year.
Ferrari reports that in 2022 the firm saw 13 221 units being sold. 2022 trumped the 2021 figures by 2066 units which equates to 18,5%. “Despite a complex global macro scenario, we look ahead with great confidence, encouraged by the many signs and achievements of an evolving Ferrari. The product portfolio for 2022 consists of nine ICE nameplates representing (78%) and three hybrid titles (22%). Nameplates like SF90, 296 GTB and 812 Competizione were highlighted as sales toppers in the 2022 season. Ferrari has stated that the demand for the latest Ferrari badged product, the Purosangue, has been strong and highlights the demand from customers for the firm’s higher-end offerings. Ferrari increased its outlook and expectations for the year ahead.
“Last year ended with outstanding financial results that met and exceeded our guidance and set new records across all metrics, such as a net profit of Euro 939 million and an industrial free cash flow generation of Euro 758 million.”
While America saw an increase of 21,8% in 2022, Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan reported an increase of 72,6%. Taiwan, Mainland China and Hong Kong region received 478 units which is a 188 unit difference compared to the previous year’s results.
In response to this exceptional sales year, Ferrari has announced that roughly 5 000 of its employees will receive bonuses to celebrate a prosperous 2022. These bonuses are said to be up to R240 000! This equates to a 12,5% increase compared to the previous year’s bonus.
