With the festive season gearing up, motorists can breathe a sigh of relief as petrol and diesel prices are confirmed to decrease. Here is how much it will all cost in Mzansi from Wednesday.

The price for 93 and 95 ULP & LRP will decrease by 65 cents per litre, which will result in the price dropping to around R22,79 per litre. Diesel is expected to decrease by R2,41 per litre for the 50ppm variant and R2,35 for the 500ppm variant. This decrease will result in the price of diesel 50ppm dropping from R24,40 per litre to R21,99 per litre.

According to the Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Gwede Mantashe, the adjusted fuel prices are the result of several external factors. mentioned in his address was the Brent crude oil price decrease, the average international product prices for fuels decreased, and the Rand has appreciated consequently strengthening its value compared to the dollar, to name a few of the factors that have influenced the fuel price decrease.

Prices will take effect from the 6th of December.
