The Ford Mustang 2,3 EcoBoost has been discontinued by Ford South Africa after its latest product revision. This, after the four-pot offerings were made available to the local market alongside the full-fat 5,0-litre V8 models just less than two years ago.
Both coupe and convertible were introduced to SA with the 10-speed automatic transmission exclusively. With a power output of 213 kW, it was 20 units down from the pre-updated range (which coincidentally was also discontinued in April 2019).
Before being delisted, the coupe and convertible boasted a starting price of R859 100 and R928 800 respectively. The downsized performance cars leave behind the aforementioned 331 kW Coyote V8-powered coupe and cabriolet which are now priced at R1 044 200 and R1 114 900 respectively.
