Digital artist X-Tomi has revived the idea of such a product with this rendition of the Ford Mustang Mach-E bakkie which can be received as an eco-friendly performance single-cab.
It has been a very long time since Ford has even mentioned the Ford Ranchero. The last we would have officially seen a variation of this product would have been the Australian Ford Falcon Ute which ended production in 2016.
At the front, the Ford Mustang Mach-E bakkie pretty much only retains the face of the car with the dynamic LED headlamps, closed-off grille with the pony badge, faux-air intakes at the sides and spoiler lip. Interestingly, the digital rendition also retains the bonnet.
At the sides of the Ford Mustang Mach-E bakkie, things are kept sleek with the removal of the door handles but a distinctive look is provided by a set of dynamic lines applied throughout the bodywork. This is accentuated by black trimmings along the lower-end of the doors as well as the black door mirror covers and window surrounds. The rendition also retains the alloy wheel design.
The key design element of the Ford Mustang Mach-E bakkie design is the single-cab bed, of which we can’t see much. All that can be noticed here is the sports bar that runs along the rear of the cab and a bed cover.
