The Mercedes-AMG GT R, which we tested in January 2018, has become the latest vehicle to be handed a healthy injection of power by German tuner Fostla, with the firm revealing its latest uprated model in a bespoke urban camouflage body wrap.
Thanks to the Hannover-based company's "Level 1" performance package, the standard car's twin-turbo 4,0-litre V8, which produces 430 kW and 700 N.m of torque, has received an added 48 kW and 70 N.m. This means the tuned GT R now sends 478 kW and 770 N.m to the rear wheels.
The front-mounted engine is still coupled to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. No performance claims have been made, but a few tenths should be knocked off the claimed 3,6-second 0-100 km/h time of the stock vehicle.
This particular GT R also features "a new design for the racetrack", a yellow vinyl wrap that the company calls "sunflower camouflage". An "urban camouflage" wrap, meanwhile, has been applied to a section of the rear.
