The Haval Jolion was revealed earlier this month as a replacement to the popular H2. The Chinese manufacturer has now confirmed that the Jolion, along with the new H6, will be receiving a global release.
GWM’s premium arm confirms that the Haval Jolion and H6 will be entering global markets by the second quarter of this year which means we should see it in South Africa within the next coming months. This will also be the first time that Haval updates its products for the international markets at the same pace as its domestic sphere.
What makes these two upcoming SUVs so much better than the ones they replace? Haval explains that the two cars make use of a brand-new L.E.M.O.N platform (an interesting name to choose for the architecture of a car) which uses high-intelligence and modular design principles. It aims to give the crossovers flexibility, high performance, high safety and light mass.
With this platform, Haval intends to develop models that fulfil SUV, sedan and MPVs ranging from the A0 to the D segment. With this flexible platform, the Jolion boasts a wheelbase of 2 700 mm with 26 different storage spaces for its inhabitants to use.
It’s also quite focused on safety with features such as adaptive cruise control, active emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist and other vital features set to be offered.
Haval says that the two upcoming SUVs using this platform will enrich the overseas product lineup of the brand. The Chinese brand states that these are “important business cards” for overseas users to gain a new sense of the Haval brand and experience the latest vehicle manufacturing technology of GWM. Overall, it believes the Jolion and H6 will improve the brand image of Haval.
