Hyundai fans, rejoice. There’s a new Veloster on the way and, by the sound of things, it looks like this one might mean business.
Teased in this minute-long video, we hear what sounds like a punchy four-cylinder engine revving close to redline as a colourfully camouflaged Veloster races round a dimly lit racetrack. At this point, we’d speculate that the engine in question is the turbocharged 2,0-litre four-pot that debuted in the Hyundai i30 N.
What we can tell from the video is that the Veloster will retain its unconventional asymmetrical door layout (one on the driver side and two on the passenger side) as well as its double central exhaust system.
Hyundai hasn’t announced when it will officially reveal the new Veloster, but seeing that the car is already being teased it may show its face at one of the shows in the first quarter of 2018.
