"Police are investigating an incident of shooting on the N3 north, near the Buccleuch interchange. It is alleged that group of five people travelling in a white Audi attacked a father and his son who were driving a Mercedes Benz. Their vehicle was shot at and a substantial amount of money was removed from the vehicle."

As the police wrap us the investigation on this highway shooting, spokesperson Moses Maphakela confirmed that the father and son were on a trip to Pretoria when the highway shooting took place. With the assailants opening fire on their vehicle.

"This afternoon, at around 12:30pm, the victims were approached by suspects driving a white Audi A3. They started to shoot the father and son."
