Honda has filed a trademark application in Europe for the ZSX badge, which suggests that a baby NSX is on the cards.
The Japanese automaker filed for the trademark with the European Union Intellectual Property Office on July 26.
Interestingly, the company once owned the name in the United States. However, the US Patent and Trademark Office shows that Honda effectively abandoned ownership of the ZSX badge for use on vehicles at the end of 2012.
Still, French publication Automoto reports that Acura – the luxury arm of Honda in the US – plans to reveal the ZSX as a concept at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in 2017.
Citing an unnamed Honda engineer, the report describes the sub-NSX model as a hybrid coupe.
