Imagine cruising down the freeway in your 1989 Toyota Conquest 16v Sport and seeing one of these in your rear view mirror. For some people in the Netherlands between 1989 and 1991, this was a reality, due to this 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera 3,2 Targa Rijkspolitie ‘ALEX 12.24’
Back in 1989 there were well over 500 of these enforcers cruising the Dutch streets, but only a handful exist today. Most of them were used for traffic duty, including this particular model, which delivered a total of 105 201 km miles of service.
Not too long ago, it was given a restoration by Italian based Porsche Centro Assistenza Pordenone. The car will be auctioned off with a certificate of authenticity and other relevant documents.
Along with this, the prospective owner will gain an array of police equipment consisting of suits, helmets, two warning triangles, a towing cable, tape measure, handcuffs, a first aid kit, wheel wrench and spare light bulbs among other things.
All of this is kept in a wooden box which replaces the rear seat. You also get a functional communication radio and a passenger side door mirror.
It will be up for auction on the 7th of October 2016 and is expected to sell for between €90 000 to €150 000 (R1 356 000 to R2 261 000).
