The overall winner of the 2016 Women’s World Car of the Year competition has been revealed, along with six category winners.
This year, the Jaguar F-Pace scooped both the SUV/Crossover award and the overall gong, taking the title from 2015 winner, the Volvo XC90.
Honda, meanwhile, claimed both the Family Car award with the Civic and the Budget Car title with the Jazz. The Performance Car award went to the Ford Mustang (beating the Focus RS by a single vote), while the Volvo S90 took Luxury Car honours. And the Green Car award? The Toyota Prius took that title by quite some margin.
The Holly Reich Dream Car Award, meanwhile, went to the McLaren 570S. This award is dedicated to the memory of one the judges, Holly Reich, who passed away in New York in October.
In 2016, some 294 cars were nominated by 17 judges across 14 countries. A 32-vehicle shortlist was then created, with judges again voting across the six categories to determine the overall winner.
