Arriving in South Africa in August 2024 to the hotly contested compact crossover segment, GAC Motor now has another checkbox ticked for the GS3 Emzoom. The SUV is back in the spotlight after succeeding with 5 stars in the New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP) and the automaker adds that this will reassure current owners and make the GS3 Emzoom a highly appealing option for future buyers. Basic safety in the model includes up to 6 airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Seatbelt Reminder System (SBR) for frontal occupants, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB).

It also offers advanced safety assist technologies. This includes Adaptive cruise control (ACC), autonomous emergency braking (AEB), front collision warning (FCW), traffic sign recognition (TSR), lane departure warning (LDW), intelligent speed limit control system, high beam assist (HMA), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and blind spot vision (BSV). Under the bonnet, the GS3 Emzoom is powered by a turbocharged petrol four-cylinder engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission which propels it from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8 seconds. Pricing starts from R469 900 with the entry-level comfort model and tops out at R549 900 for the sporty styled R-Style iteration.
