While Naamsa no longer releases individual model sales to the public, we’ve laid our hands on figures for both Hyundai Automotive SA and Kia Motors SA for November 2020.

So, let’s start with Hyundai. The Korean firm registered a total of 2 609 units across the passenger-vehicle (2 393), light-commercial (187) and medium-commercial (29) segments for the month.

In the passenger-vehicle space, the Venue (640) led the charge for Hyundai, placing eighth on the list of SA’s 10 best-selling cars for November 2020. The i20 (459) was next, closely followed by the new Grand i10 (438). The Atos managed a solid total of 360 units, with the Creta settling for 176 units in a month that saw it switch to a new generation.

The Tucson (154) was next, ahead of the Accent (80), H1 (44), Kona (29), Santa Fe (8) and i30 N hot hatch (4). Hyundai also registered a single unit of the Elantra (likely old stock), despite the nameplate having been discontinued on local shores.

And Kia? Well, the company managed some 1 174 units in total, comprising 1 066 units in the passenger-vehicle segment and 108 in the light-commercial segment. That’s just about enough for it to rank on the list of SA’s 10 best-selling automotive brands for November 2020.

Kia’s top passenger-vehicle performer was again the Picanto (401), with the Seltos (289) slotting into second place ahead of the now-refreshed Rio (203) and Sportage (134). The Grand Sedona added 23 units, while the Sorento ended the month on 16 units.
