With almost 70% of its classic models in running order Porsche has begun a chain of classic centres to provide owners with the services they need to keep their vehicles in running order. The first branch opened this week in the Netherlands with the intention of 99 more branches to follow in the coming years.
These Porsche Classic Centres will stock a variety of 52 000 original parts and provide complete and partial overhauls, repair and maintenance work and will also sell classic models to the public. Current owners are taking their classics to approved ‘Porsche Classic Partners’ situated across 24 countries including Germany, the UK, US, Japan and South Africa.
The implementation of the Porsche Classic Centre will help the reach of classic servicing to those who are in need of it. With the values of certain models dramatically increasing owners and Porsche themselves wish to maintain the originality of these cars as much as possible which is why its very likely that demand for a service such as this will be fairly high.
