Following an impressive sales showing in March 2025, Suzuki Auto South Africa is celebrating a record-breaking financial year, with the local arm of the Japanese carmaker besting its 2023/2024 overall sales figure by a whopping 10 781 units in the 2024/2025 financial year.

“Thanks to our incredible customer base and hard-working dealer network … January saw us set four new overall sales records. Not only did we experience our best-ever dealer, fleet, rental and government sales, we also sold the highest number of Swifts,” said Henno Havenga, General Manager of Sales and Marketing at Suzuki Auto SA. “With our latest financial year officially wrapped up, we are now also able to confirm Suzuki Auto SA has experienced year-on-year sales growth of 20.75%. Considering the continued pressure on disposable household income, with rising living costs testing even the best-planned budgets, this is an excellent result that again demonstrates South African motorists have an appetite for quality, competitively priced vehicles that are affordable to run and enjoyable to drive.”

“Although there are signs that pressure on consumers will persist, it remains an exciting time for the Suzuki brand, and we are confident that we can leverage our recent sales momentum to our benefit across all fronts,” concluded Havenga.
As a reminder, Suzuki Auto SA is currently the country’s second-best-selling carmaker, a position the brand has held for three consecutive months. In February 2025 alone, the automaker registered 2 351 Swifts (the best-selling passenger vehicle), 1 123 Fronx models, 627 Ertigas and 360 Balenos to name a few. With this data in mind, it is little wonder why Suzuki South Africa achieved the title of Company of the Year in CAR Magazine’s Top 12 Best Buys annual competition. Find the issue in stores now.
