The Volkswagen Group has reportedly signed an agreement with the Jianghuai Automobile Company (JAC) to build bakkies in China.
JAC is a state-owned Chinese automaker based in Hefei. According to Automotive News, it sold 372 838 vehicles in the first seven months of 2016.
The German automotive group, of course, is already involved in joint ventures with other Chinese manufacturers, including SAIC and FAW.
JAC currently produces the T6 pickup, which can be had with either a 2,0-litre of 2,8-litre engine. And VW, of course, makes the Amarok.
Unfortunately, no information about the agreement has yet been released.
