Koenigsegg appoints Daytona as only official dealership in South Africa

Swedish high-performance automaker Koenigsegg has appointed Daytona as its official dealership and “representative” in South Africa.

The appointment – which will see Koenigsegg’s wares displayed at Daytona’s showroom in Melrose Arch, Johannesburg – takes the total number of official Koenigsegg dealers around the world to just 40.

As a reminder, Daytona’s facilities include a 4 000 m2 showroom and workshop, along with a coffee bar, client lounges and private meeting rooms. The company is also the sole importer of Aston Martin, Lotus, McLaren, Pagani and Rolls-Royce vehicles.

“Koenigsegg represents the pinnacle of performance megacars, which is why being selected at the dealer of choice in Southern Africa is such a huge honour,” said Justin Divaris, CEO of Daytona.

“We strongly believe that our clients will be excited to have this brand represented in South Africa, and have no doubt that the partnership will grow from strength to strength under our portfolio,” he added.

Andreas Petré, sales director at Koenigsegg Automotive AB, said he was “delighted to welcome Daytona to the Koenigsegg family”.

“Our philosophy is one focused on performance, not only in terms of power and speed, but in every deliverable and this extends to the selection of our representatives around the world. We believe we share a common view on the importance of a personal, professional and dynamic approach to service necessary in this segment,” Petré said.

Koenigsegg’s current line-up comprises the Gemera, Jesko and Regera.
