Lamborghini says it has registered two milestones in the production of its Aventador and Huracán supercars.
According to the Italian brand, it has now built 8 000 examples of the Aventador, some seven years after the model’s market introduction. Chassis number 8 000 is an Aventador S Roadster finished in Grigio Telesto that will be delivered to a customer in Japan.
In addition, four years after the start of production of the Huracán, the 11 000th unit rolled off the assembly line. Chassis number 11 000 is finished in Blue Nethuns and will go to a buyer in Italy.
Lamborghini recently reported that its worldwide deliveries had increased by 11 percent to a record 2 327 cars in the first half of 2018.
Global sales of the Huracán model line showed an increase from 1 400 to 1 604 units, while the Aventador line managed 673 units for the first six months of the year. Interestingly, the new Urus is not included in the record figure, as the first customer deliveries are set to start in July.
