In celebration of its 60th anniversary, Lamborghini is gearing up to make a grand appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where they will unveil their highly anticipated LMDh prototype.
In a thrilling announcement for motorsport enthusiasts, Lamborghini has confirmed that it will be showcasing its LMDh racing prototype at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. The renowned Italian supercar manufacturer is set to compete in some of the world’s most prestigious endurance races, including the Hypercar class of the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship and the GTP class of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Endurance Cup.

While details about the LMDh remain scarce, speculation is rife about the specifications that Lamborghini has in store for its latest creation. Although it is important to note that these details are currently unconfirmed and subject to change, they have sparked excitement among automotive enthusiasts.
According to speculation, the new Lamborghini LMDh racing prototype will be powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 engine, specifically developed by Lamborghini Squadra Corse. Furthermore, it is suggested that the LMDh will feature a hybrid system, incorporating a single-source Energy Recovery System (ERS) kit. This hybrid setup is anticipated to enhance the car’s acceleration and overall efficiency.
In terms of performance, sources suggest that the Lamborghini will boast a top speed of approximately 340 km/h. To optimise its racing performance, the LMDh is rumoured to have a lightweight construction and weigh around 1 030 kg without fuel and driver.
One of the stars of the show will undoubtedly be the Lamborghini Revuelto, which was unveiled earlier this year as the successor to the legendary Aventador. The Revuelto is not just any supercar; it represents Lamborghini’s first foray into the world of V12 plug-in hybrids, showcasing their commitment to embracing electrification without compromising on raw power and performance.
