While the world is still grappling with the aesthetics of the all-new BMW M2, Manhart has become the first tuner to tweak the baby M a little over a month after its release. Here is what the German-based tuner has fettled and what the MH2 560 will look like once done.
Manhart has dropped the first images and performance specs on their tuning package for the entry-level M model. After the BMW M2 was unveiled early in October it sparked controversies. The consensus on performance is positive but as with most BMW products of late, the public remains divided. The tuner has been quick to offer a virtual preview of a package for the new BMW M2 G87 and according to them, it adds “more fuel to the fire” of the discussion about the styling.
Manhart has decided to take matters into their own hands and tuned the 2023 BMW M2 and made it even more desirable. The tuner calls their package the MH2 560, featuring plenty of the tuner’s performance upgrades and the customary styling enhancements to make the M2 stand out from the crowd.
The new BMW M2 has a 3,0-litre inline six twin-turbo engine known as the S58. The MH2 560 is modified to produce 412 kW of power and 650 N.m of torque showing an increase of 74 kW and 100 N.m compared to the stock BMW M2, thanks to software tweaks and a new stainless steel exhaust system with valve control and downpipes along with a choice of quad tailpipes that are either coated in ceramic or carbon. To improve the driving experience, Manhart will also be upgrading the suspension setup with two variants; either a full coilover setup or lowering springs.
The visual updates over the stock BMW M2 become apparent at first glance. The MH 560 includes bespoke Concave One wheels and a host of carbon fibre parts including a front splitter, side skirts, rear wing, and rear diffuser with an F1-style rear fog light. The Manhart carbon fibre body kit looks extremely similar to the M Performance Parts offered by BMW although the German tuner has imparted their typical gold accents over black bodywork.
“This is our interpretation of the new baby M-car and we are ready to take on its fearless, but daring design and create a unique package which leaves behind our signature mark.” says the tuner.
